Duane Thomas

Duane Thomas, 79 of New Paris, OH died Friday, October 2, 2015 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Duane was born on April 23, 1936 in Richmond, IN, son of the late, Robert & Mary (Estell) Thomas. He was a 1954 Whitewater High School graduate in Indiana. Duane was a milkman for Dairy Maid in the 1950's. He also had worked for 40 years for Dana Corp in Richmond, IN. Member of the Scooter Club of Richmond, IN.

Survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Jane Thomas; seven children, Paula (Joe) Lucas of Richmond, IN, Dan (Veronica) Thomas of New Paris, OH, Chuck (Kitty) Thomas of Eaton, OH, Doug Thomas of New Paris, OH, Rob Thomas of Benton, KY, Mitsey (Tim) Miller of New Paris, OH and Kelly (Mike) Greene of Richmond, IN; 13 grandchildren, Samantha, Joey, Dan Jr., Brian, Derricka, Lindsey, Charles, Lauren, Brittany, Andrew, Preston, Brandon and Aron; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Denver and Ronnie; sisters, Ruth, Vada and Alberta.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, OH with Pastor Steve Whalen officiating.
