Duane H. Wesler

Duane H. Wesler 93 of New Paris, Ohio died Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Rose Bud Village in Richmond, IN. Born on October 10, 1927 in New Paris, Preble County, Ohio he was the son of the late Frank W. & Gertrude (Hawley) Wesler. Duane served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947; Member: American Legion Post at New Paris; Preble County Dairy Farmer for over 50 years; Sold Greatlakes Seed Corn and Beans from 1986 to 1995; sold Becks Hybrid Seed Corn and Beans to Farmers from 1995 to present; Preble County Farm Bureau; Milk Marketing; Preble County Farmer all of life; Past C.R. Coblentz School Board Member 1962 to 1995; member and Head Elder of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Connersville, IN. 

Preceded in death by wife of 43 years: Edith M. (Davis) Wesler in 2018; Son: Stephen S. Wesler in 2007 and daughter-in-law: Brenda Scott Wesler in 2013. 

Survivors: Children: Mark D. Wesler; Susan E. Wesler and Paul W. & Lisa Wesler; Brothers: Meredith (Wanda) Wesler and Beryl (Phyllis) Wesler both of New Paris, Ohio. Sister: Carolyn McWhinney of New Paris, Ohio 8 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren. 

Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Barnes Funeral Home 109 West Main Street New Paris. The funeral service will be 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Paul W. Wesler officiating. Interment will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
