Dr. William S. Clayton, Sr. Dds

Dr. William S. Clayton, Sr., DDS, age 92 of Centerville, OH, formerly of Eaton, Ohio died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Bethany Lutheran Village in Centerville, OH. Born on May 5, 1920 in Nicholasville, KY, son of the late Charles Stanley and Grace Nell (Ashford) Clayton. Bill was a 1938 Eaton High School graduate, attended Miami University and the University of Notre Dame, graduated in 1951 from The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1943 to 1946, member American Legion Post #215 in Eaton, Ohio, member, past Elder and Session member of the First Presbyterian Church in Eaton, served as Chairman and Director of the Eaton National Bank for 34 years, past member and past President of the Eaton Rotary Club, retired in 1981 after practicing Dentistry for 30 years in Eaton, Ohio. Bill was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Betty Jo (Nisbet) Clayton on November 24, 2010. Son, James Charles Clayton on September 8, 1942. Brothers, Douglas and David Ashford.

Survived by his children, Dr. William Scott (Nancy) Clayton, II of Eaton, OH, Robert Bruce (Veronica) Clayton of Centerville, OH, Betsy Lee (Dr Alan) Brubaker of Cincinnati, OH and Barbara Sue (Dr John) Wehrly of Hendersonville, NC; Brother-in-law: Dr. Dick Nisbet of Middletown, OH. Grandchildren, Traci Grissom, Doug & Kelly Clayton, Bruce & Lynn Clayton, Anne & Victor Burpee, Katie Clayton & fianc'e Sean DiBeri, Kim & Paul Stelmack, Kerri & Jason Johnson, Kelly Brubaker, Rob & Jen Brubaker, Beth & Ben Caston, Kristin & Drew Fleming. 17 Great Grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Eaton with Rev Wayne D. Morrison officiating, Inurnment with Military Honors by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton.
