Douglas L. Smith, Jr., 55 of Lewisburg, OH, died suddenly on Monday, January 7, 2019 at his residence.  Born on December 1, 1963 in Dayton, OH, son of Douglas Laverne Smith, Sr. & Linda Lou Crank.  

He had worked for Wysong Lewisburg, LLC for many years.  Doug was a Wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and going to NASCAR races.    

Preceded by his Mother, Linda (Crank) Upton in 2009; Father, Douglas Laverne Smith, Sr. in 2014; Son, Michael D. Smith; Uncle, Gary Crank; Father-in-law, Donald Mayberry; Grandparents, John & Annie Crank.  

Survived by his Wife of 25 years, April (Mayberry) Smith; Children, Joe (Ashley) Smith, Samantha (Michael) Fox, Sabrina (Matt) Morris, Ashley (Anthony) Bowles, Douglas Smith and Taylor Smith; Grandchildren; Emma, Preston, Dustin, Tyler, Audrey, Michael, Ezekiel, Gabrielle, Hailey and Jackson; Sister, Lora (Antonio) O’dell; Brother; Steven (Dawn) Smith; Cousin, Tommy (Liz) Crank; Father & Mother-in-law, Mike & Ruth Shelley; Brothers-in-law, Charlie (Jill) Mayberry and Don (Melissa) Mayberry; Special Friends, Andrew Hoffman and Mark Hesler; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Rev. Justin Wiegand officiating.  Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, OH.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the funeral.
