Dorothy R. Kountz

DOROTHY R. "DODIE" (YONTZ) KOUNTZ, age 86 of Eaton, Ohio died, Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at her residence. Born on August 10, 1925 in Piqua, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Albert M. & Mabel Abby (Blizzard) Yontz. Member of the Jacob Eby Chapter of the Eastern Star in West Carrollton, Ohio, Dodie and her husband Clifford were worthy matron & patron of the club in 1984. Dodie was a 22 year member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Eaton, Ohio.

Preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Clifford Kountz in 2006 and brother, Harold Yontz in 1982.

Survived by her children & spouses, Dr. Jeffrey & Kathy Hess of Belair, Maryland, Anita & Norman West of Dublin, Ohio and Ralph D. & Bobbie Kountz of Camden, Ohio; grandchildren, Amy, Carrie, Kevin, Lisa, and Mike; great grandchildren, Marcus & Michelle; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 120 North Maple St., Eaton, Ohio 45320.
