Dorothy J. Neiswander

Dorothy J, Neiswander, 88, of R.R. New Paris, OH, died peacefully Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Rose Bud Village in Richmond, IN. She was born September 14, 1923 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Carl F. & Johanna M.(Hebler) Ertel. Growing up, Dorothy was very close to her only sibling, a brother Raymond Charles Ertel, who was killed in WWII and is buried in France. On September 26, 1942, she married James R. Neiswander Sr. who survives her. They became the parents of a son and a daughter. Dorothy took great pleasure in being a housewife and a "stay at home Mom". She was a loving & caring wife, mother, & grandmother. She cherished her family and loved flowers, birds, and all of nature. She was preceded in death by her parents & brother.

Survivors include her husband, James R. Neiswander Sr.; son James R. (Rosemary) Neiswander Jr. of New Paris, OH; daughter Bonnie (Jeff) Fannin of Richmond, IN.; 4 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Sunday, January 8th, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
