Dorothy J. Mikesell

Dorothy J. Mikesell 94, of Eaton and formerly of New Paris, OH passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Vancrest of Eaton where she had been a resident since 2011. Born on February 3, 1921 in Richmond, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Raymond & Lora (Brown) Steinbrink.

Dorothy was a graduate of Richmond High School and had been a bank teller at the First National Bank of New Paris. She was a member of the New Paris Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years: Paul W. Mikesell in 2009; Sisters: Mary Steinbrink and Jane Enghauser; brothers: Paul Steinbrink and Richard Steinbrink.

Survivors include her daughters: Joan L. Price of Lakeside, OH; Anne M. Mikesell of Hilliard, OH and Susan E. (Mike) Mabrey of Mobile, AL; son: Donald E. (Mattie) Mikesell of Lexington, KY; 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home – 109 West Main Street – New Paris, OH. The funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH.
