Dorothy Hoskins

Dorothy Hoskins, age 86, formerly of West Elkton, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Heartland of Eaton in Eaton, Ohio. Born on January 15, 1920 in Lee County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Walter & Jessie (Akers) Lane. She lived in West Elkton, Ohio most of her life. Dorothy attended the Camden Pentecostal Church in Camden, Ohio and the Grace Brethren Community Church of West Alexandria, Ohio. Preceded in death by her husband Arthur Hoskins in 1998; daughter: Mildred Irene Hoskins in 1966; brother: Earl Lane in 1997; sisters: Wilma Messer in 1989, Marie Cornett in 1998, Pauline Shoemaker in 1987, Brenda Phillabaum in 2000, and Laura Gene Taylor in 2005.

Survived by her sons & daughters-in-law: Darrell E. & Lori Hoskins of West Alexandria, Ohio, Robert A. Hoskins of Middletown, Ohio, John W. Hoskins of Camden, Ohio, and Larry Wayne Hoskins of Eaton, Ohio; daughters & sons-in-law: Phyllis J. & Charles D. Gabbard of West Elkton, Ohio, Beverly A. & Richard Brannon of Eaton, Ohio, Betty Jo & Mark Hamilton of Middletown, Ohio; sisters: Regent Chamberlin of West Elkton, Ohio and Norma Creekbaum of Trenton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2006 - 11:00 a.m. at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Elbert H. Sorrell, Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at Fairmound Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 11, 2006 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio.
