Dorothy Ann Smith

DOROTHY ANN SMITH, 76, of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at Vitas Hospice of Dayton. Born July 17, 1934 in Eaton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Josephine (Trantanella) Schilling. Dorothy was a life long resident of Preble County and a retiree of Baxter in Eaton. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Edward and Tony Schilling.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Tammy (J.D.) Garnett of Lewisburg, Peggy (Gary) Crank of Eaton, Ohio and Steven (Dawn Bray) Smith of New Paris, Ohio; grandchildren, Jessica Garnett of Lewisburg, Billy (Sonja) Schilling of Eaton, Tommy(Liz)Crank of Oxford, Ohio, John Crank of Eaton and Corrina Crank of Trenton, Ohio; sisters, Mary Jo Sparks of Eaton, Helen Smith and Rose Schleiger both of West Alexandria, Ohio; brother Jerry Schilling of California; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce St., Lewisburg, Ohio with Father J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens near West Alexandria, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
