Doris M. O'Dell

Doris J. (Miller) O'dell, age 86, of Lewisburg, OH, died Sunday, May 20, 2012. Born on December 16, 1925 in Darke Co., OH, she was the daughter of the late Fred W. & Ethel M. (Oda) Miller. Doris retired in 1980 after 17 years as a secretary for Twin Valley North Schools in the Verona Elementary and Junior High School building. She had been an organist for the EUB church in Verona for 17 years.

Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years: Wilbur L. O'dell in 2004; brother: Fred W. "Hank" Miller, Jr. in 2006.

Survived by Sons & Daughters-in-law: Dennis & Ann O'dell, Bronston, KY, Greg & Stephanie O'dell, Lewisburg, Ohio; Daughter: Debra Strawsburg, Lewisburg, Ohio; Brother: Richard L. (Mary Lou) Miller, Vandalia, OH; Grandchildren: Michael (Cathy) O'dell, Brian O'dell, Dallas Strawsburg, Dru (Jennifer) Strawsburg, Jessica (Sam) Cherry and Matthew O'dell; 4 Great Grandchildren: Amanda & Jared O'dell and Isabella & Cooper Cherry. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 - 10:30 A.M. at the Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held in Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
