Doris M. Ferriell

Doris M. Ferriell, age 88, of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton, OH. Born on February 16, 1922 in New Paris, OH she was the daughter of the late Howard S. & Ethel J. (Hunt) McWhinney. She was a 1939 Jackson High School graduate and has lived in Preble County most all of her life. Member of Visitation Catholic Church of Eaton, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 215, Club 18 of Eaton and Saint Ann's Sodality of Eaton. Preceded in death by husband of 61 years: J. Jennings Ferriell in 2002; daughter: Mary Jane Thompson in 2005 and brother: Norlan McWhinney in 2009.

Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, David & Barbara Ferriell, Jim & Nancy Ferriell, and Joe & Debbie Ferriell, all of Eaton, OH and Mark & Linda Ferriell of Cleveland, OH; daughter & son-in-law, Beth and Paul Michael of Eaton, OH; grandchildren, Jerry & Debbie Thompson, Teresa & Kirk Glander, Mandy & Les Jerdon, Jeff & Amber Michael, Chad & Amber Michael, Jessica Harris, Cindy & Eric Jones, Joe & Laini Ferriell, Eve Ferriell, Dara Ferriell, Katie & Tom Elam and Kristie Ferriell; great-grandchildren, Kole Glander, Tyler Glander, Luke Woolridge, Nathan Woolridge, Brian Sims, Kyle Sims, Chris Sims, Dustin Sims, Bailey Jerdon, Dillon Jerdon, Fletcher Jerdon, Joseph Jennings Ferriell IV, Kayleigh Michael, Drew Michael, Derrick Michael, Madison Michael, Lilly Michael, Nathan Wysong, Parker Elam.

Funeral Mass will be held on 10:00 AM Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Visitation Catholic Church, 407 E. Main St., Eaton, OH, with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH, Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 – 5 to 8 P.M. with Rosary Services at 8:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E.
