Doris F. Childers

Doris F. Childers, 76, of Camden, OH, died, Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on May 30, 1940 in Gray, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee & Lola Jane (Scott) Cowden. She was a Lily High School graduate in Lily, KY, a member of the Preble County Widowed Persons and Eaton Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Ted" Childers in 1999; sister: Patsy Hensley; brothers: Earl, Ray, Robert Jr. & Homer Cowden.

Survived by daughters: Ronda (Kenny) Strunk and Lesia (Glen) Allen; step-daughter: Tedesa (Chip) Handley; sisters: Alma Jean Jones and Margie Rose (Herman) Kelley; brother: Densil Clayton Cowden; brother-in-law: Bruce Hensley; grandchildren: Tiffany (Donnie) Bingham, Crystal "Nicki" Warren and Dalton Allen; great-grandchildren: Calla Bingham & Abigail Wood and several other extended family members.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Eaton Church of Christ, 725 U.S. Rt. 35 West, Eaton, OH with Rev. Paul Nichols officiating. Interment will be held in the Collinsville Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. prior to service at the church.
