Donald Walter May

Donald Walter May, 91, of Eaton, OH and formerly of Syracuse, NY, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Vancrest of Eaton. Born on August 4, 1926 in Syracuse, NY, son of the late, Charles Franklin & Margaret M. (Krause) May. Donald was a building & grounds manager for Orchard Park at Central Square formerly known as Meadowview Apartments in Central Square, NY for 10 years retiring in 1991. Donald proudly served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946 during World War II.

Preceded by wife, Helene G. (Green) May in 1995; companion, Roberta Abbott in 2006; brother, Charles Franklin May, Jr.; sister, Dolores Mosley.

Survived by six children, son: Michael W. (Jacquelyn) May of Homer, NY and their children, Sara, Jonathan and Joseph May; son: Andrew J. (Cynthia) May of Roanoke, VA and their children, Timothy May and Esther Horner; daughter: Gretchen M. May of Eaton, OH; son: Christopher F. (Maureen) May of Raleigh, NC; daughter: Therese M. (James) Betar of Eaton, OH and their children, Will Bleich, Ian Jones, Timothy and Rebekah Betar; son: Peter B. (Roxanne) May of Hartford, CT and their son, Maxwell May.

Memorial Services and inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
