Donald W. Moore

Donald W. Moore, age 74, of Lewisburg, OH died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at New Lebanon Care & Rehab Center in New Lebanon, OH. Born on November 4, 1935 in Algood, TN he was the son of the late Herman & Lula (Dickerson) Moore. Don had been a Police officer from the 1960's to 1990's in Butler Township, Montgomery County, OH. He worked at T&T Delivery in Vandalia, Emery Air Freight, Dayton Tire & Rubber and recently was a greeter at the Wal-Mart Store in Eaton, OH. He was a school bus driver for the Vandalia Butler School District from 1980's to retirement in 1999. He served as a trustee in Butler Township from 1978 to 1982 and a Fireman with Butler Township Fire Department. Past member of the Optimist club of Vandalia and attended the Faith Baptist Church in Lewisburg, OH. Proceeded in death by three brothers: Hollis Moore, Leslie Moore and Austin Moore.

Survivors include Daughter & Son-In-Law: Cathy J. & Steven D. Gingry and Granddaughter: Katie A. Gingry of Lewisburg, OH; former wife: Linda (Bell) Rieman of Lewisburg, OH; Sisters: Marian King of Trotwood, OH and Barbara Sweigart of Butler Township, OH. Nieces and Nephews; Close Friends: Opal & Sue Bridenbaugh of Vandalia and Linda Melton and Jimmy Arnold of Richmond, IN.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 8, 2010 at Roselawn Cemetery – Lewisburg, OH with Rev. Wesley Stiver officiating.
