Donald R. McEwen

Donald R. McEwen, age 88, of New Paris, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on November 22, 1936 in West Englewood, New Jersey, son of the late Donald Alexander & Edith Bertha (Ross) McEwen.

Donald proudly served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1963. Member of American Legion Post 360 in New Paris, Ohio.

Preceded by his wife of 52 years, Mary Valerie McEwen in 2010; son, Darren McEwen; brother, Robert J. McEwen.

Survived by his sons & daughter-in-law, Alan & Diana McEwen; grandson, Jared McEwen; sister & brother-in-law, Lynn & Joe Hunt; several nieces and nephews. 

A private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio.
