Donald L. Vaughn

Donald L. “Catfish” Vaughn age 75 of Camden, Ohio died Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the Dayton Veteran’s Hospital Hospice Unit. Born on February 24, 1946, in Hamilton, Ohio the son of the late Henry & Helen (Jenkins) Vaughn. Don was a 1964 Lakota High School graduate; served Honorable for 8 years in the U.S. Navy; was a City of Hamilton, Ohio police officer for 8 years and retired in 2004 from Parker-Hannifin in Eaton, OH. He was a licensed Auctioneer since 2006; Volunteer at Preble County Senior Center; Member of the Masonic Lodge; avid bowler, fisherman, loved dancing and playing golf. 

Preceded in death by brother: Steve Vaughn; uncle: Harold Vaughn in 2021; brother-in-law: Stanley Brown in 2013. 

Survived by his wife of 31years: Patricia D. (Brown) Vaughn; children: Duane Vaughn, Carrie Martini, Rebecca Hoskins, Danny Vaughn, and Shane Vaughn; stepchildren: Kevin Walker, Keisha McDavid and Krystal McDavid; 27 grandchildren: 24 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Sandra & Bill Shafer, Michael Brown, Ronald & Terri Brown, Rocky Brown & Kimberley Blair and Brian & Laura Brown. 

A celebration of life service will be 5:00 PM Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Barnes Funeral Home 220 East Main Street – Eaton, Ohio. The Preble County Honor Guard will provide military honors and Masonic Services will be 5:30 PM. at the funeral home.
