Donald E. Bliss

Donald E. Bliss age 86 formerly of Lewisburg, OH died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on May 4, 1930 in Montgomery County, OH he was the son of the late Walter A. & Daisy Frances (James) Bliss. Don was a Lewisburg High School graduate and he served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He retired from Ohio Plate Glass in Lewisburg and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lewisburg and Lewisburg Emergency Unit. Preceded in death by sisters: Pauline Murray in 1965 and Phyllis J. Zumstein in 1990.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Joyce (Kidwell) Bliss; Children: Steven & Robin Bliss of Vandalia, OH; David & Beverly Bliss of Hickory, N.C. and Tracey A. & Greg Kehr of Lewisburg, OH; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church 511 North Commerce Street Lewisburg, OH. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM at the church with Rev Brent L. Cavendish officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetey in Lewisburg, OH.
