Don L. Hawley

Don Lowell Hawley, age 81of Eaton, Ohio died Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his residence. He was born on June 29, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Lucian Thurman and Helen Lydia (Clark) Hawley.

Don was a 1960 graduate of Eaton High School and attended Miami Jacobs Business College in Dayton, Ohio. From 1984 until his retirement in 2010, he was a CPA and owner of Hawley & Cobb, Inc. in Eaton and prior to that he was an accountant for Glen Crowell Accounting. Don served for 8 years on the Eaton Community School Board,  was a devoted and active member of the New Hope Church and loved genealogy.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Charlene M. Ashworth in 2018.

Survived by his wife of 60 years, Suzanne M. (Ketron) Hawley; sons and daughters-in-law: Darin Lowell (Kristine) Hawley and Jason Matthew (Sarah) Hawley; daughter and son-in-law, Leanne Marie (Scott) Thompson; sister, Karen L. Windle; brother-in-law, Stanley Ashworth; grandchildren, Jill Hawley, Graham Hawley, Charlie Thompson, Iris Hawley, Colton Sims, Haley Berry, Cadence (Tom) Moore, and Nicholas Berry; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, January 26, 2024 at New Hope Church, 5367 US Rt. 35, Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating. Inurnment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the church.
