Dixie J. Shaffer

Dixie J. Shaffer 95 formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio died Saturday May 19, 2018 at Spring Hill Assisted Living in Dayton, OH. Dixie was born on March 2, 1923 in Lewisburg, Preble County, Ohio the daughter of the late Dwight N. & Vivian (Barnhiser) Emrick. She was a 1941 Monroe High School graduate; member of Lewisburg Church of Christ and a 75 year member of the Lewisburg Eastern Star. 

Preceded in death by her husband Gerald L. Shaffer in 1969; son Tony Shaffer in 2005.

Survived by her daughter & son-in-law: Kim D. & Don R. Turner of Vandalia, OH; grandchildren: Dawn & Robert Gaskins and Amanda & George Hernandez; great grandchildren: Zachary Pearce, Dustyn Pearce, Madelyn Bowen, Alex Joynes, Cody Joynes and Gunnar Bowen; brother: Richard Emrick of Lewisburg, OH.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH and the funeral service 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. David Justis officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, OH.
