David J. Lindsey

David J. Lindsey, 87 of Camden, Ohio and formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio, died on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, OH. Born on April 27, 1926 in Union, Montgomery County, Ohio he was the son of the late David J. & Ethel R. (McDaniel) Lindsey. David has lived in Preble County most all of his life and was a Carpenter for Universal Homes in Camden, Ohio. He attended the Eaton First Church of the Nazarene. Preceded in death by his wife of 44 years: Shirley Ann Mae (Niswonger) Lindsey in 2008; brothers: Edward, Charles, Claude, Donald and Clarence; sisters: Dorothy, Beatrice and Elsie.

Survived by his children: David C. (Joanne) Lindsey of Camden, Ohio; Dorothy J. (James) Landis of North Fort Myers, FL; Terry A. Walter of Lawrenceburg, IN; Carletta M. Morris of Fayetteville, AK; Robin J. (Dave) Herres of Snellville, GA; Mildred J. Alfred of Troy, OH; Virginia M. (Larry) Shaw of Troy, OH; Robert D. Stidham of Lewisburg, OH; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the First Church of the Nazarene – 400 Lexington Ave. Eaton, OH 45320 with Brian E. Deaton officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Barnes Funeral Home – 220 East Main Street – Eaton, Ohio. Interment will be in Preble Memory Gardens – West Alexandria, OH.
