David Ibarra

David Ibarra, age 64 of Arcanum (Castine), Ohio died on Sunday September 4, 2022, at the V.A. Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born on October 18, 1957, in Fort Stockton, Texas. David was a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant and retired after over 30 years of service both active and in the Ohio National Guard. He was an Iraq war veteran and employed at Zumstein Trucking of Lewisburg, Ohio and Cheeseman Trucking of Fort Recovery, Ohio for 30 plus years. Member of the V.F.W. Post in North Star, Ohio and the N.R.A.

Preceded in death by father & mother: Manuel & Ana Maria (Nunez) Ibarra of Fort Stockton/Odessa, Texas; uncle: Raul Valdez of McGregor, TX.; Father & Mother-in-law: Willard & Dorothy May (Lovell) McClure; sisters-in-law: Vicky Lynn McClure and Leona (McClure) Weis both of Castine, Ohio and brother-in-law: Jeffrey Allen McClure of Kenai, AK.

Survived by his wife: Holly (McClure) Ibarra. Three children and niece who he considered as a daughter: LaOnna (Ibarra) Gillett, Kyle Ibarra, Brandi Ibarra all of Castine, Ohio and Melissa (Weis) & Dana Lugena, of Hannibal, MO.10 grandchildren. brothers and sisters: Juana Estella & Paul Casas of Fort Stockton, TX. Leonel & Carol Ibarra of Odessa, TX. Idalia Naomi & Jamie Rodriquez of Odessa, TX. Maricela & Manuel Astorga of Odessa, TX. Richard & Liz Ibarra of Odessa, TX. Aunt: Guadalupe Valdez of McGregor, TX. Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday, September 9, 2022, at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio. The funeral service will be held 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. David A. Doseck officiating. Interment will be 10:00 AM Monday, September12, 2022 at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
