DAVID A. TAXTER, 89, of Eaton, Ohio died, Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Life Care Hospital of Dayton. He was born on March 31, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late David and Eugenia (Couche) Taxter. David was a 1941 graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in chemical engineering and was a Captain and pilot during WW II in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was the owner of the Chrismer Agency, Inc. in Eaton until his retirement. David was an avid bowler with a career high game of 288 and was a gunsmith and a member of the NRA. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty G. (Livingston) Taxter in 2007; brother, Joe Taxter and sister & brother-in-law, Sis and Eric Ley.
David is survived by his daughters, Anne Sagor of Garland, Texas and Toni Taxter of Eaton, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Oksana Taxter of Eaton; grandchildren, Zachary D. Woodard, Kristen L. Bowermaster, John Koutsopatrii, David E. Taxter and Alexandra E. Taxter; great grandchildren, Zachery, Joshua, Jacob, Ethan and Abigail Bowermaster; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
