David A. Jones, Jr.

David A. Jones, Jr., 81, of Eaton, OH went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Oxford, OH. Born on February 10, 1937 in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late David A. & Mary A. (Owel) Jones, Sr. David retired in 1999 from Eagle Electric in Cincinnati. He served from 1960-1964 in the U.S. Navy and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church & Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters. David served as a church usher for many years and the Liturgical Commission. Preceded in death by his Siblings: Albert J. Jones, Mary E. Hill, Ruth E. Stegman, Louis P. Jones, Donald E. Jones, Harold J. Jones and Annette Jones. 

Survived by his Wife: Martha M. (Valiquette) Jones; Sons: David A. Jones, III, John P. Jones, Patrick M. Jones and Casey E. Jones; Daughter: Kimberly Horwedel; 17 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Many Nieces and Nephews and Cousins. 

David was a loving husband and father. He served his church and country well. He was loved by all. 

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, OH. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, OH. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2 – 4:30 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main St., Eaton, OH.
