Darrell Edward Jackson, Sr.

DARRELL EDWARD JACKSON, SR., age 60, of Richmond, IN, died on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Reid Hospital and Healthcare Services in Richmond, IN. He was born on August 7, 1953 in Richmond, IN; son of the late Wallace Howard and Ruth Jane (Zitt) Jackson, Sr. He was a self-employed Master Carpenter for over 40 years and was the owner and operator of Darrell's Home Improvements.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Aubree Dawn Jackson in 1980; sister, Della Jean Snell in 2011, brother-in-law, John L. Fox and nephew, Jason Ray Glen Ross.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elaine Iris (Lawson) Jackson; children, Lee Jason Howard Jackson, Tamara Sue Jackson and Darrell Edward Jackson, Jr.; grandson, Hunter Mason Jackson; brothers, Benny (Mary) Jackson, Sr. of New Paris, OH and Wally (Lupe) Jackson, Jr. of Yuma, AZ; sisters, Wanda (Jim) Ross of Richmond, IN, Mary Fox of Yuma, AZ and Judy (Jerry) Ross of Morrilton, AR; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Rev. Jerry Ross, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held by the family at a later date in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH.
