Darlene R. Cole

Darlene R. Cole, 67, of Eaton, OH died Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Kettering Hospital in Kettering, OH. Born on January 3, 1950 in Zanesville, Ohio Darlene was the daughter of the late Herbert W. & Wilma B. (Bennett) Shafer and was a 1968 Eaton High School graduate. She was loving, kind, loved her children and friends, out spoken to all, but always meant well. Preceded in death by friends Pat Kearney and Elaine Layland. Now they can all sit and have coffee and cigarettes without consequences.

Survived by husband of 49 years: Ben J. Cole; Children: Tracey & Steven Mitchell of Eaton, OH and Andrew & Lori Cole of Middletown, OH; sister & brother-in-law: Karen L. & James Leroux of Eaton, OH; grandchildren: Anthony Mitchell, Abigail Mitchell, Andrew Jacob Cole and Olivia Lee Cole.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home 220 East Main Street Eaton, Ohio. A celebration of life service will be 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
