Daniel "Danny" R. Mann

Daniel “Danny” R. Mann 73 of Eaton, OH died Friday, January 11, 2019 at Maple Gardens in Eaton, OH. Born on September 15, 1945 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of the late Robert L. & Eleanor A. Paxton Mann. Danny served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War receiving the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge and Army Commendation Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 322 in West Alexandria, OH, worked at General Motors in Dayton, OH and was a Tow Truck Driver at Fudge’s Auto & Towing Services for over 20 years. 

Preceded in death by sisters: Marjorie Jane Flenner in 1969 and Mary Ann Farrell in 2014. 

Survived by his wife of 50 years: Carol J. (Newkirk) Mann; Children: Rodney R. & Annette Mann of Eldorado, OH, Wade D. & Jennifer Mann of New Paris, OH; grandchildren: Danika Mann and Daniel Mann; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main St., Eaton, OH. A celebration of Danny’s life will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the funeral home with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, Ohio.
