Dale E. Phillabaum

Dale E. Phillabaum, age 78 of Brookville, Ohio, died Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in Brookville. Born on March 28, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert J. & Marguerite C. (Stouffman) Phillabaum.

Dale had worked for the Lords Corp in Dayton for 15 years and had also worked for the Tri-County North School District. He was a 1964 Milton-Union High School graduate and served in the US Air Force during Vietnam. He was the owner/operator of Phil’s Dairy Corner in Lewisburg from 1981 to 1990. He was an avid bowler, loved fishing and making his famous gingerbread cookies, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Brother: Daniel L. Phillabaum and Sister-in-law: Diane Phillabaum.

Survived by his Wife of 55 years: Gail L. (Heckman) Phillabaum; Son: Dana R. (Linda) Phillabaum; Daughter: Dawn E. (Robert) Gibboney; Brother: David Phillabaum; Sister-in-law: Gayle Phillabaum; Grandchildren: Ashley, Hunter, Victoria, and George; Great Grandchildren: Adilyn and Sawyer. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg with Pastor Jon Kibler officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg with military honors by the Preble County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
