Dale G. Daugherty

Dale G. Daugherty, age 85, of Richmond, IN, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Indianapolis, IN. Born on June 23, 1929 in New Paris, OH, he was the son of the late Homer & Winnie (Radford) Daugherty. Dale was a truck driver for Adam H. Bartel in Richmond and enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, Nascar and Cincinnati Reds baseball. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Preceded in death by his first wife: Rose (Berry) Daugherty in 1996; brothers: Vaughnie, Guy, Homer and Gale Daugherty; Sister: Jessie Pinnick.

Survived by his wife of 34 years: Harriet (Veal) Daugherty; daughter: Rachel A. (Thomas) Riley, Richmond, IN; step-daughters: Diane (Harry) Barfield and Peggy (Larry) Dalbey, all of Richmond, IN; sister: Norma Rodefer Deaton, Richmond, IN; granddaughter: Catherine Riley; step-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
