DALE A. BROWN, 79, of New Paris, OH, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. He was born on January 10, 1932 in Eaton, Ohio, son of the late Richard Irvin and Hilda Ellen (Minnix) Brown. Dale was a 1951 graduate of Whitewater High School in Whitewater, IN and was a retired cabinet builder for Kemper Brothers in Richmond. He was a veteran of the Korean War in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955; a 35 year member of the First Baptist Church in Richmond where he was active in the Tuesday Night Bible Study group; Lifetime member of the American Legion-Harry Ray Post 65 of Richmond. Dale enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Survived by his wife, Janet Frances (Sanders) Brown whom he married on August 5, 1962; daughter, Brenda K. Brown of Webster, IN; son & daughter-in-law, Steven D. & Mary Brown of Columbus, OH; brother & sister-in-law, John R. & Berenice Brown of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister & brother-in-law, Janet Sue & Walter Kreitzer of West Alexandria, OH; grandchildren, Serena Brown and Ashley, Ian and Madison Brown.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011 at The First Baptist Church, 1601 S. A St., Richmond, IN, with Pastor James Spon officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main St., New Paris, OH.
