Daisy Mae Cook

Daisy Mae Cook, 96 of West Alexandria, Ohio died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at her residence. Born on October 11, 1921 in Roxana, Letcher County Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late W. R. & Stella Ellen (Royce) Markwell. Daisy had worked at Browning Manufacturing and the Eaton Laundry both in Eaton, OH and retired in 1984. She had been an active member of the Tru-Holyness Church of God in West Alexandria.

Preceded in death by her husband: Rev. Edgar Cook in 2003; son: Alvin Edger Cook in 2007; brothers: Johnnie Markwell, Cecil Markwell, Aaron T. Markwell, Ervin L. Markwell and Joe Markwell; sister: Irene Shell. 

Survived by son; William Donald Cook of Clearwater, Fl; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. 

Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday April 8, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH. The Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 9, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Thomas officiating. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH. A family and friend’s meal will be Eaton Baptist Temple, 416 East Decatur St., Eaton, Ohio after the interment to share about Daisy’s life.
