DAISY HARTMAN, 90, of Somerville, OH went home to be with her heavenly Father on Nov. 4th 2010 with her loved ones by her side. Born on August 14, 1920 in Danville, IL, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Nellie (Hughes) Forman. She retired from Mercy Hospital Fairfield in 1979. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and most of all her great grandchildren. She loved cooking and baking. She was well known for her delicious chicken and dumplings and her peach cobbler.
She leaves behind two daughters, Sharon (Charlie) Lunsford & Sandra Robinson both of Somerville. Five grandchildren, Jeanna Parks, College Corner, Martin (Leanne) Staley Somerville, Steven (Kelly) Staley, Falling Rock WV, Amy ( Danny) Samples Hamilton and Daisy (Larry) Brock of West Chester. Ten great grandchildren: Kelsey Messer, Breanne Parks, Amber & Alex Ulrich, Noah & Aiden Lingsch, Austin, Bryce & Tyler Staley, Eric Staley, son-in-law Ray Staley and friend Frank Woxman. She leaves behind three half sisters, Evelyn, Ruby and Della, two half brothers Garrett and Frank Forman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband: Samuel Hartman in 1967, Daughter: Darlene Staley, Grandson: Charles Samuel Lunsford, Son-in-law: Larry Robinson, Stepmother: Glady Forman, Brothers: Homer Jr., Clarence, Ray and Shelby Forman, Half Brothers: Cecil, Ervin Lee, and Delbert Forman, Half Sister: Ella Mae Forman.
Daisy’s family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Thomson and the Hospice Nursing Staff for their excellent care of Granny.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010 at Nein – Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main St., Camden, OH with Larry Brock officiating. Interment will be held in Somerville Cemetery in Somerville. Family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
