DARRELL D. "DANNY" MICHAEL , 58 of New Madison, OH, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Danny was born on October 5, 1950 in Hamilton, Ohio, son of the late Hubert Russell & Florence Alberta (Gault) Michael. He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Marines and U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam and Persian Gulf Wars. He attended Preble Shawnee High School and had an Associate's Degree from the ITT Technical Center. He was a Maintenance Technician for FPE in New Madison; member of the Amvets Post 726 in Eldorado, Ohio, the American Legion Post 360 in New Paris, Ohio, the V.F.W. Post 7262 and the Moose Lodge Post 329 both in Greenville, Ohio. Danny loved to ride his motorcycle, camp, fish and spend time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Steven, Norman and Edward Dean Michael and sister, Mary Michael.

Survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary K. (Miller) Michael; daughters and sons-in-law, Nici & John Lowe, DeAnn & Darren Carroll and Cindy Michael; grandson, Devin Watson; sister and brother-in-law, Sue & Sonny Hileman of Camden, Ohio and brother and sister-in-law, Paul & Beth Michael of New Hope, Ohio; nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Chaplain Bill Phipps officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2009 from 10:00 am to12:00 pm at the funeral home.
