Corwin D. Talbert

CORWIN D. "CORKY" TALBERT, 89, of West Elkton, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 6, 2012. Born on June 17, 1922 in West Elkton, Ohio, son of the late Lee R. & Katheryn (Drake) Talbert. Corwin was a 1940 graduate from West Elkton High School. Pontiac dealer in Middletown for 25 years before his retirement in 1982. West Elkton village councilman for 60 years and honored by the State of Ohio for his continuous service. Member of the Masonic Lodge in Camden, Ohio for 60 years. Life Member of the West Elkton Friends Meeting.

Lt. Jg. Corwin was a World War II Veteran, proudly serving as a pilot in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946.

Preceded in death by his Sister: Mary Lee Knepshield in 2008.

Survived by Wife: Patricia Talbert of West Elkton; Children: Deborah (Gary) Cook of California, Drake (Terry) Talbert of Minnesota, Durinda (Mike) Osborne of Middletown, Deena (Charleston) Cline of Centerville and Donna (Bruce) Karda of Cincinnati; 10 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at West Elkton Friends Meeting, 147 S. Main St., West Elkton, Ohio with Lucy Price officiating. Interment will be held at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton with full Military Honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at West Elkton Friends Meeting, 147 S. Main St., West Elkton, Ohio with Masonic Service held at 8:00 pm at the church on Friday.
