Corey J. Mangan

Corey J. Mangan, 55 of Lewisburg, OH, died on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Born on May 16, 1961 in Canton, OH, son of Neil & Janet (Davis) Mangan. Corey graduated in 1979 from Twin Valley North High School and in 1983 from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor Degree in Communications. He was the Executive Director of Youth Entrepreneurship Development Foundation and had previously worked for the Preble County Board of DD. He was the Coordinator for Special Olympics and Special Olympics Young Athletes. Corey raised approximately $300, 000 to build Preble County's only totally accessible playground. He was the Project Coordinator of Our Lady of Guadalupe Library Project in Belize. He served as President of the Eaton Rotary Club. While in Rotary, he was the Four Avenues of Service Award Winner and Four Way Test Award Winner. He served as President of Ohio Public Images. In 2010 Corey was named Preble County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. Corey was an Avid Sports Fan & Coach. In his first season as High School Varsity Baseball Coach, he was the CCC Coach of the Year.

Preceded in death by his father, Neil J. Mangan; sister, Coleen Lunsford; nephews, George and Jason Wihs.

Survived by wife of 33 years, Ann (Schmidt) Mangan; son, Ben (Heather) Mangan; daughter, Kelsey (Nate) Mangan; mother, Janet Mangan; sisters, Christine Wihs, Danine (Gary) Gebhart, Janeil Mangan and Alise (Tom) Capista; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins & friends.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM, Thursday November 3, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 511 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Rev. Brent Cavendish officiating. Interment held at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church and also one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at the church.
