Clyde L. Gabbard

Clyde L. Gabbard age 87, of Camden, Ohio died Friday, November 30, 2007 at Liberty Nursing Center in Oxford, OH. Born on May 1, 1920 in McKee, KY he was the son of the late George & Jennie Gabbard. Clyde was a U.S. Army WW II veteran. He retired in 1985 from Champion International Corp. in Hamilton, OH. Preceded in death by son: Ronald Gabbard in 1972; 1st wife: Evelyn I. (Heckman) Gabbard in 1978; two sisters and five brothers.

Survived by wife of 26 years: Mary E. (Callahan) Gabbard; Sons & daughters-in-law: Robert E. & Lucy Gabbard of Camden, OH, Russell & Marcille Hayes of Tenn., Timothy W. Gray of Mich. And Kenneth D. & Shannon Gray of Middletown, OH.; two sisters, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Clyde’s life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Higher Heights Church of God - 8111 U.S. Rt. 127 South - Camden, OH. with Pastor Riley Parker officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Camden with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Arrangements entrusted to Nein-Barnes Funeral Home - 249 North Main Street - Camden, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Somerville Pentecostal Church.
