Clifton D. Davis

CLIFTON D. DAVIS, age 84 of New Paris, OH, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in New Paris. Born on April 27, 1925 in Kenton, OH, he was the son of the late Ernest & Ola (Benson) Davis. Mr. Davis had worked for Hoffco in Richmond, Hocker Smith Transportation in Dayton, Wilson Brick & Block in Richmond and Snyder Brick & Block in Dayton. He retired from the Eaton Country Club as the Pro Shop manager. A member of the Concord Church of Christ, Kiwanis Club in Richmond where he was made Kiwanian of the year 2001 – 2002 and member of the Golden K. Mr. Davis served in the Seabees during WW II and in the Air Force during Korea. Preceded in death by his son: Timothy Joe Davis in 1974 and one brother.

Survived by his wife of 61 years: Joe Ann (Maines) Davis, whom he married December 14, 1948 in Richmond, IN; twin daughters: Jerri Lynn Davis, Kingston, NY, Terri Leigh Davis – McGill, Fort Worth, TX; Sister: Sharon Fussner, Pensacola, FL; 2 grandson and 3 great grandchildren.
