Cleven "Peck" Newton

Cleven "Peck" Newton, age 87, of Somerville, OH, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Liberty Nursing Home in Oxford, OH. Born on April 25, 1926 in Lexington, KY he was the son of the late Vernis & Stella (McKinney) Newton. Cleven retired in 1988 at Dasher Steel Foundry in Hamilton, OH. He served on the Somerville Fire Department for many years and was a member of the Somerville First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife: Angeline R. Newton in 2005 and brother: Carl Newton died in 1987; Daughter Linda Newton in 2010.

Survived by his children: Leon Newton and Shirley Jones both of Upper Sandusky, OH; Stella Reece of Ft. Pierce, FL; Rita Anderson of Camden, OH and Debbie & Phillip Morris of Arkansas; Brother: Chester Newton of Somerville, OH and Sister: Mafrey Gault of Flordia; Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home 249 North Main Street Camden, OH with Rev. Richard Huff officiating.
