Claude Spencer Jordan

Claude “Spencer” Jordan age 59 of New Paris, Ohio went to be with the Lord Monday, October 16, 2023, in his home. Born on August 8, 1964, in Darke County, Ohio he was the son of the late Cecil Elwood “Woody” & Phyllis G. (Spencer) Jordan. Spencer was a self-employed Construction Contractor in Preble County. He was a member of Eaton Community Church serving as an Elder and the Founder of the Hideaway Trails for Hope Ranch.

Preceded by death by an early loss of a pregnancy Baby “Jamie” Jordan; Grandson: Brantley Isaiah Hammer in 2021.

Survived by his wife of 36 years: Shelly (Barnes) Jordan; Children: Tony & Ciara Baker, Brandon & Tiffany Hammer and Carson & Shania Spitler. Grandchildren: Addie, Emberly & Everly Baker; Paisley & Braylee Hammer; Myla Spitler. Sisters: Paula & Archie Gallaher, and Sharon Cox. Father & Mother-In-Law: Jim & Louise Barnes; Brother-In-Law: Jim (Karla) Barnes, Jr. and Sister-In-Law: Tina (Davy) Gabbard; many Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2023, at Eaton Community Church – 813 Camden Road – Eaton, Ohio. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the church with Dr. Dan Denlinger officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, Ohio. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home - Eaton, Ohio.
