Clarence R. Mckee

Clarence R. "Buck" McKee age 95 of Eaton, Ohio died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton, OH. Born on April 20, 1913 in Fleming County, KY he was the son of the late Elmer F. & Addie F. (McIntosh) McKee. In the early 1920's he moved to Eaton with his family and helped operate the McKee Poultry Farm. Buck had delivered milk for Himes Dairy in Eaton and had worked for Marine Products in Vandalia, OH that manufactured airplane propellers. He also owned the McKee Salvage Yard and operated trucks to haul steel for Aetna Steel. Former Co-Owner & Operator with his wife of McKee Shell Station, B & M Restaurant and The Stable all of Eaton, OH. Life member of the Eagles Lodge of Eaton; Member of Preble County Historical Society and Preble County Senior Citizens Center; Eaton Fire Department for 37 years; Ohio National Guard in Eaton and Lakengren Dragon's Club. Supporter of the Preble County Fine Arts Center.

Preceded in death by Wife of 67 years: Delilah Myrtle "Myrt" McKee in 2002; Sons: Jerry Joe McKee in 1944 and Frank R. McKee in 1961; Grandson: Michael David McKee in 1989; Brothers: William T. McKee and Courtney W. McKee; Sisters: Florence Gerth and Frances Yazell.

Survivors: Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Richard & Kathi McKee of Eaton, Ohio and Ralph & Nancy McKee of Wilmington, Ohio. Sister: Pauline Samuels of Eagle, WI; 9 Grandchildren: Rusty McKee, Randy McKee, Vicki McKee, Rick McKee, Rodney McKee, Donna Burnett, Joy Helton, Janet Cole and Carol Fewell and 18 Great Grandchildren; Jesse McKee, Lace McKee, Rusty McKee, Ryan McKee, Chris McKee, Andrew McKee, Kristin McKee, Bruce McKee, Keely McKee, Kaitlyn McKee, Bryce McKee, Douglas Haase, Lavren Haase, Brett Fewell, Lexi Cole, Dylan Cole, Megann Helton and Zachary Helton; Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Special friend Gladys Howell of Camden, OH.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 E. Main St. - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
