Clarence R. Crabtree

CLARENCE R. CRABTREE age 79 of Lewisburg, Ohio died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at his residence. Born on March 4, 1925 in Wayne County, KY he was the son of the late Shade & Myrtie (Bates) Crabtree. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and retired from Tri-County North School in 1991 after over 10 years of service. Member of Young At Heart Senior Citizens Group of Lewisburg; Preble County Council on Aging; V.F.W. Post 975 of Lewisburg, OH; Trinity Lutheran Church and Lake of The Wood Golf Cart Club in Farmersville, OH. Preceded in death by Wife: Margaret L. Crabtree in 2002; Brothers: Hub, Dick, Johnnie and Edger Crabtree. Sisters: Dorothy Adkitson, Stella Criswell, Frances Davis and Elsie Lane.

Survived by Son & Daughter-In-Law: Don & Jacque Craig of Eaton, Ohio; Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Linda & Sid Cox of Sharpsville, Indiana; Shirley & Keith Fugate of Venice, FL; ; Karen & Gary Yount of Covinton, Ohio; Pam & Herb Neidenberger of Indianapolis, Ind. and Connie & Jeff Testerman of Brookville, Ohio. Brother: Curtis Crabtree of Phoenix, AZ; Sister: Ruby Huffman of New Lisbon, Indiana; 15 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Monday, March 7, 2005 - 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church - 511 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Brent L. Cavendish & Rev David Justis officiating. Internment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 6, 2005 from 3 to 6 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home- 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio and one hour prior to the service at the Church.
