Clara Ruth Spitzer

Clara Ruth (Huston) Spitzer, age 86, of Richmond, Indiana, died Saturday, March 20, 2010 in Richmond, IN. Born on March 9, 1924 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Norman & Clara (Gripe) Huston. Clara was a chemistry teacher for 25 years at high schools in Idaho and Colorado. Clara also had worked for 6 years as a chemist for the city of Caldwell, Idaho. Clara attended several Brethren churches over the years in Idaho and Colorado and helped out with Vacation Bible School. Clara was a member of the Richmond Church of the Brethren.

Clara is preceded in death by husband of 57 years, Harold E. Spitzer; brothers, Roy Huston, Hoy Huston, Ora Huston, Esta Huston and Paul Huston.

Clara is survived by daughter & son-in-law: Susan & Martin Ekwealor of Richmond, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Tobé Jennifer Ekwealor, Nkeiruka Joan Ekwealor, Somi David Ekwealor, Nwadi Mark Ekwealor, Eze James Ekwealor, Oge Ruthanne Ekwealor, Arinze Daniel Ekwealor and Vincent Ejimovo Ekwealor; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Richmond Church of the Brethren, 1 SW 17th Street, Richmond, Indiana with Rev. Matt McKimmy officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.

Interment will be held in McClave Cemetery, McClave, Bent County, Colorado at the convenience of the family.
