Chester Ronald Ross

CHESTER RONALD ROSS, age 67, of St. Rt. 503, Arcanum, OH, died Thursday, December 7th following a brief illness. He was born March 10, 1939 in Richmond, IN, the son of the late Chester F. & Gladys M. (Hobbs) Ross. He was a 1958 graduate of Arcanum High School. On November 21st, 1958, he married his high-school sweetheart, Rosalie Drew, who survives him. Ron was a life-long farmer and retired from NCR and Harrison Radiator in Dayton. He was the former owner and operator of the Kountry Kitchen Express food trailer, which traveled to many local fairs and auctions. He was a member of the Farm Power of the Past and the Farmer’s Union. In addition to farming, he enjoyed camping, traveling, playing cards, and riding his Gold Wing, but most of all, he enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife: Rosalie; daughter and son-in-law: Robin & Marcus Medrano of Bradford, OH; son and daughter-in-law: Ronald Craig & Becky Ross of Arcanum, OH; grandchildren: Dillon & Rosie Medrano and Abby & Cory Ross; sister & brother-in-law: Linda L. & Robert Good of West Manchester, OH.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 11, 2006 – 11:00 A.M. at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH 45321 with Rev. Gordon Jones officiating. Interment will be in Abbottsville Cemetery, St. Rt. 49, Arcanum, OH. Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 10, 2006 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
