Charles R. Andy

Charles R. Andy, age 74, of New Paris, Ohio died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on July 29, 1930 in New Paris, Preble County, Ohio he was the son of the late Paul S. & Ethel C. (Goins) Andy. Charles was a 1949 graduate of Jefferson Township High School and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In 1995 he retired from the Dana Corporation in Richmond, Indiana after 29 years of service. Attended the Church of Christ of New Paris; and a member of the New Paris American Legion Post #360. Preceded in death by brother: Frederick Andy in 2000 and nephew: Warren W. Andy Jr.

Survived by Wife of 48 years: Hester (Bass) Andy; brother: Warren Andy of Billings, Montana; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, February 24, 2005
at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, OH. with Rev. Alan D. Keesling officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery - New Paris, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the the funeral home.
