Charles Maupin

Charles Maupin, age 83, of Lewisburg, Ohio died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at his residence. Born on January 18, 1924 in Jackson County, KY he was the son of the late Jennings & Dallia (Tussey) Maupin. He was a U.S. Army W.W. II veteran and retired from Mosler Safe Company in Hamilton, OH. Member of the D.A.V. and the American Legion Post in Lewisburg, OH.

Survived by sons: Keith Maupin, Wayne Maupin and Jack Maupin all of Ohio and Steve Maupin of Kentucky; daughter: Teresa Roepke of Texas; close friend and family: Bonnie Sue Bowman and family; Four sisters: Elizabeth Garrett of Dayton, OH, Bonnie Van Winkle of Franklin, OH, Charlotte “Ethel” Sterzenbach and Eliza Ricks both of Springfield, OH; three brothers: Joe Adkins and James Adkins both of Kentucky and Richard Adkins of Springfield, OH. 10 grandchildren including grandson: U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Keith “Matt” Maupin who is missing in Action in Iraq.

Funeral Service will be 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2007 at the Barnes Funeral Home- 411 North Commerce Street- Lewisburg, Ohio 45338 with Rev. Jerry A. Reynolds officiating. The Preble County Honor Guard will provide Military Honors. Family will receive friends Friday, February 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday, February 17, 2007 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Lakes Funeral Home - 228 U.S. Highway 421 South - McKee, KY. Interment will be held in Gray Hawk, Jackson County, KY.
