Charles L. Shisler

Charles L. "Chuck" Shisler, 81, of Lewisburg, passed away Monday October 24, 2016 in Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 3, 1935 in Lewisburg, Ohio, the son of Clifford and Sylvia (Young) Shisler. He attended Lewisburg High School. Chuck retired from General Motors – Harrison Radiator. He refinished a 1948 Dodge truck which became his pride and joy. He received many awards and recognition for his truck.

Survivors include his four daughters, Cheryl (Galen) Brewer of West Milton, Sharon (Doug) Marks of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Karen Ermlich of Eaton and Amanda (Timothy) Gebhart of Lewisburg; son, Charles L. Shisler II of Williamstown, Kentucky; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren and number twenty-nine on the way; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty (Ferguson) Shisler; second wife, Theresa (Grigsby) Shisler; two great-grandchildren, Katherine and Jacob; two brothers.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the Lewisburg Word of Faith, 400 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, where flannel shirts and jeans are welcome. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with his brother-in-law Pastor Donald Bender officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
