Charles Dale Stockslager

CHARLES DALE STOCKSLAGER, age 87, of Greenville, Ohio and formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville, Ohio. Born on March 14, 1919 in Harrison Township, Preble County, Ohio he was the son of the late George and Mary Jane(Schlotterbeck) Stockslager. He was a life long resident of Lewisburg having lived in Greenville during the later years of his life. In 1980 he retired from the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio after 30 years of service. He was a 1937 graduate of Lewisburg Union High School and was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran having served in Pearl Harbor. He was a life member of the American Legion and VFW both of Lewisburg and was a member of the Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers: Carlyle S. And George H. Stockslager.

He is survived by Son: Mark W. Stockslager of Sedro Wooley, Washington and sister: Marjorie Alice Rieser of Columbus, Ohio. Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Special Friends: Lalah and Roger Kline and Family of Lewisburg.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church- 3147 U.S. Rt 40 East.- Lewisburg, Ohio with Seth Schlotterbeck and Doug Baker officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the United States Navy will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 2, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
