Carl M. Denlinger

Carl M. Denlinger, 72, of Eldorado, OH, died Tuesday morning, October 21, 2014, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born December 29, 1941 in Johnsville, Montgomery County, OH, the son of Isaac & Martha (Loy) Denlinger, and was a 1960 graduate of Jefferson High School, New Paris, OH. On May 18, 1962, he married his best friend and the love of his life, Jackie Weherley. Carl worked 32 years as a tool maker at Parker Hannifin, Eaton, OH and retired in March 2003. He enjoyed bowling, was an avid motorcycle rider and a former member of the Vintage Wheels motorcycle club. One of his favorite pastimes was performing comedy, which he did at Midwest Jamboree, New Paris, OH for 12 years, and at Country Legends, Gratis, OH for nearly 4 years. In recent years he could be seen riding around Eldorado in his golf cart, with his wife and beloved dog, Snickers.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Richard & Robert Denlinger, and sister Mary Denlinger.

Survivors include his wife Jackie; daughter Cheryl (Rob) Harvey, New Madison; 3 granddaughters: Brittney Murphy of Cincinnati, OH, Ashton Murphy (Stephen Evans) of Eldorado, Taylor Stephens of Richmond, IN; great grandson Nathaniel Hensley; one great-grandchild on the way; 2 sisters: Vivian "Lucille" Hutton, N. Fort Myers, FL; Mae Fern Stanze, Gratis, OH; 2 brothers: Russell Denlinger, Union City, OH; Ray Denlinger, Greenville, OH; several nieces & nephews; 3 very close friends: Barry Hines, Dick Benson, Barry Martindale.

Visitation for Carl M. Denlinger will be Friday, October 24th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St, Eldorado, OH. Burial will be private.
