Calvin E. Shiverdecker

CALVIN E.”GENE” SHIVERDECKER, age 76 of Brookville, Ohio died Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at Brookhaven Nursing and Care Center in Brookville, Ohio. Born on August 17, 1926 in Pyrmont (Montgomery County), Ohio, he was the son of the late Orin Webster & Martha (Small) Shiverdecker. He retried in 1988 after 15 years as a custodian with Brookville Schools, a WW II U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Brookville VFW Memorial Post # 3288. Preceded in death by Wife: Dorothy (Crauder) Isaacs Shiverdecker in 2000; Brother: Robert H. Shiverdecker; Half Sisters: Mazie Black and Bertha Mullins; Half Brother: John F. Baker; Daughters: Beverly Isaacs and Junia Lewis.

Survived by Sons: Dewain L. Shiverdecker, Brookville, Ohio, Calvin E. Shiverdecker, Jr. of California, Edward E. Shiverdecker, Brookville, Ohio, James R. Isaacs, Lewisburg, Ohio. Sister: Lucy S. Rose, Eldorado, Ohio. 14 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2003 - 11:00 A.M. (Ohio Time) at the Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio 45338 with Rev. Phil Marxson officiating. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio with Full Military Honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Following the graveside service the family will gather for a meal at the Olivet United Brethren Church- 14135 Little Richmond Road- New Lebanon, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26, 2002 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. (Ohio Time) at the funeral home.
