C. Lucille Flory

C. LUCILLE (STEVENS) FLORY, 90, of Middletown, Ohio and formerly of Eaton, Ohio, died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Center in Middletown. She was born December 16, 1917 in Dixon Township, Preble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Roy & Ethel (Johnson) Stevens. A 1934 graduate of Dixon High School, she was a secretary for WHIO and WKBW during and after WWII. She was the owner and operator of the Western Auto Store in Eaton for 20 years and was a long time farmer in Dixon Township. Member of the Concord United Church of Christ and the Learning Ladies of Eaton and Dayton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J. Arthur "Art" Flory in 2001.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David A. and Wendy Flory of West Lafayette, Indiana and Dr. Dan L. and Barbara Flory of Middletown, Ohio; sister, Alice Christman of Dayton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Jeannette Hays, Fairhaven, OH; grandchildren, Jennifer(Todd) Edwards of Oxford, Ohio, Jeff (Mary) Flory of Cincinnati, Ohio, Quentin Flory of Redmond, WA and Graham Flory of Beaverton, OR; great grandchildren, Cassady, Ian and Dylan Edwards.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the Barnes Funeral Home- 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Dr. Dan L. Flory officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 18, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to service on Tuesday.
