C. Gordon Arnold

C. Gordon Arnold, 90 of New Paris, Ohio died Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Arbor Trace in Richmond, IN. Gordon was born on December 30, 1932, in Richmond, Indiana, the son of the late Charles E. & Garnet F. (Middaugh) Arnold. He was a 1950 Jefferson High School graduate and was a Korean War U.S. Army Veteran. Gordon was Past Owner and Operator of Arnold’s Market in New Paris and was an Accountant for Cinram of Richmond, IN. and member of the New Paris American Legion and New Paris Methodist Church and active with the Food Pantry.

Preceded in death by son: Greg Long in 2022 and Sister: Joanne C. Patrick in 2014.

Survivors include his wife K. Darlene (Foust) Arnold; children: Doug G. & Amy L. Arnold of New Paris and Kim Long of Richmond, IN. Grandchildren: Hayley Farabegoli-Williams & Travis Williams; Isaac Arnold; Laura & Ritchie Gingry; Brent Ballinger and Jennifer & Chris Daley; 12 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Barnes Funeral Home – 109 West Main Street – New Paris, Ohio. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Military Honors provided by the Preble County Honor and Pastor Mike Shaeffer officiating. Interment will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH at a later date.
